Do you know what the space between the notes is? Music of course! Yes I am referring to the music notes. This explains why tempo or timing is an important factor when we play or listen to music. The rhythm is either going to draw you in it or break it. And because of the spaces it also helps to create a variety of emotions or moods even for the same piece of music. You will know exactly what I mean when you see this two example of Canon in D Major below
My favourite? Well Canon is my all time classical favorite. A friend long time ago played it on the piano for me and I was completely mesmerized. Since then I was hooked on it, I have a compilation of Canon played in piano, guitar, flute, violin, A cappella (yeah the humming version) etc…
Apart from that I do have a variety of music genre collection, from heavy metal Linkin Park all the way to Andrea Bocelli. My latest collection is Paul Potts – the winner in Britain’s got talent (a show similar to American Idol).
Another singer that I would highly recommend is Marie Digby. Have you heard of Umbrella, the acoustic version? Yeah the half Irish, half Japanese – Marie Digby sang that and since then she’s on her way to stardom!

I totally dig Digby’s singing, though not much of Japanese can be seen in her.
