Oktoberfest in Penang (Malaysian German Society)

October 17th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Once in a while I like to do something different, see different culture, experience a different perspective … it’s always a good way to expand my little world and get out of my sanctuary once in a while. You see … I am too young to be dated!

Speaking of which, this Saturday (20 Oct) there is an Oktoberfest in Penang organized by the Malaysian German Society. I am not sure what to expect as of now, since I’ve never been to this yearly event before but according to their website their programme includes group dancing, beer drinking and log sawing competition ~ all ala German style. Well of course not forgetting German delicacies … yum (I hope!). Admission is RM 25 however there is an early bird discount of RM 5 if you get it via Malaysian German Society at 04 229 6853.

You might just see me there! For more information - http://www.mgs.tripod.com/id7.html.

Stay tuned for my updates about Oktoberfest later this week.
